Abstract

The presence of many centres for research and innovation from many European countries in Brazil confirms the relevance of the Brazilian research and innovation ecosystem. The German Centre for Research and Innovation (DWIH São Paulo) and Swissnex Brazil are some of the largest and oldest of them, with many associated universities, research and funding organizations, as well as companies, that work close to Brazilian partners. In this session, representatives of the these national centres for bilateral cooperation will present results of their work in Brazil and explain how Brazilian universities can work together with them. The debate will include difficulties faced in international cooperation as well as in the interface university-industry and will also address problem solving approaches.
Speakers: Marcio Weichert (DWIH São Paulo - German Centre for Research and Innovation, Coordinator) and Maria Conti (Swissnex Brazil, CEO).
