Abstract

Brazil is a huge country with diverse cultures, traditions and challenges, so much diverse that no one questions the fact that there are several Brazilians within Brazil. In such a broad and diversified context, developing public policies that serve everyone in an indistinct way, as Brazilian Constitution recommends, is not a simple task. Any decision affects millions of people. For example, only in the higher education the country counts more than 8.2 million students, almost the population of Israel.
The presentations may serve as a short guide for a foreign HEI at the beginning stage of making the internationalization strategy with Brazil. It covers topics and gives facts about system of education, inbound/outbound students, popular courses, Funds, courses in English.
The presentation is also useful for foreign academic staff planning to work in Brazil. It covers topics like legal documents, legalization of diplomas, language issues, concourses, rankings, funds, domestic issues
Presentation is born from experience of a foreign partnership consultant in Brazil and is built on common questions and personal splendors and miseries.
