Abstract

With the increasing demand for strengthening South-South partnerships, the Southeastern Minas Gerais Federal Institute has sought to foster initiatives aimed at developing cooperation projects with South American countries and with African nations, whether in the Lusophone world or in other territories. In this sense, we will present a management experience of the Office of International Affairs of the Southeastern Minas Gerais Federal Institute in the project "Integrated Systems of Agricultural and Livestock Production". Throughout this initiative, in partnership with IFB, IFTM and IFNMG, IF SUDESTE MG received eighteen Sudanese professionals on entry mobility for a two-week training program in the fields of sugar cane production, of grains and cotton. The eighteen civil servants from the public and private sectors of Sudan traveled to Barbacena and Rio Pomba Campuses, where they were taught in English, using active instruction methodologies, on two axes: in agricultural mechanization and applied agroecology to grain production. This project was transversal to all institutional relations, as an incentive for insertion of EMI in the common curriculum , for the creation of a program of workshops for foreigners as well as for developing linguistic policies for the internationalization of the curriculum of the Southeastern Minas Gerais Federal Institute. Therefore, the pilot project has resonated in all institutional relations and demonstrated the need to foster more cooperation projects on the South-South axis.
