Abstract and Posters
Poster presentations are welcome to encourage the participation of young scientists and researchers from both academic and industrial background. Participants interested in presenting a poster are kindly requested to submit their one-page abstract online via the Conference website latest by 30 June 2026.
Authors will receive notification on acceptance latest by 15 July 2026.
Each registration allows the submission of one abstract.
Exceptional works will be selected by the Scientific Committee of the 20th BMOS for oral “flash presentations”. The 20th BMOS offers awards to the best poster authors. You can find more information at Awards.

It is the responsibility of the author to ensure that the abstract is accurate and free from errors. Any mistakes in spelling, grammar, or scientific content will be published exactly as submitted. All abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee, who may request revisions prior to acceptance.
Poster presentations
For the preparation of the poster, the dimensions must not exceed as those indicated in the figure below. Adhesive tapes will be provided to fix the posters. Posters will be identified by posters numbers, which will be printed in the final program.

Instructions for Abstract Submission
Authors must use the file “Template 20th BMOS 2026” to prepare their abstracts. The template provides the correct layout, including space for text and the graphical abstract, sized appropriately for final publication.
Important: Do not alter the template in any way (e.g., deleting spaces, changing font size or line height) in order to fit your abstract within the one-page limit.
Please follow the guidelines below when preparing your submission:
- Keywords
Provide three keywords.
- Abstract and Graphical Abstract
- Insert your text and graphical abstract in the designated sections of the template.
- If your graphic does not appear correctly, ensure the Word style is set to Normal with automatic height adjustment.
- If the figure exceeds the column width, Word will automatically reduce its size, which lowers resolution and makes it unsuitable for publication. To avoid this, resize the artwork in a graphics program before pasting it into the template.
- The abstract text should clearly summarize your work in no more than 150 words.
- A graphical abstract is mandatory. It must visually summarize the content of your work in a concise, engaging format. Images should clearly represent the study, and captions may be included if necessary. Whenever possible, place legends and symbols directly within the artwork rather than in the caption.
- Acknowledgments
Use Arial 10 pt. The acknowledgments section typically appears as the final paragraph, recognizing contributors, institutions, or funding sources.
- References
Use Arial 8 pt or the Word style BMOS_References. References must follow ACS style and appear at the end of the manuscript. Authors are fully responsible for their accuracy and completeness.
- Final Submission
Save your abstract with figures included by selecting Save As → PDF (.pdf)*. Print a proof copy (preferably from a 600 dpi or higher laser printer) to confirm that all elements are present, legible, and correctly formatted.
Remember: your submission should fit within 1 page!
