Abstract

This investigation developed composites of a classic semiconductor (TiO2) and a hybrid metal-organic photocatalyst of the Ce-UiO-66 archetype. Synthesis conditions were developed to obtain nanometric photocatalysts by solvothermal framework fragmentation and anatase formation, or by encapsulation of distinct nano-TiO2 materials to alter MOF crystallinity. The correlations indicate the possibility of tailoring photocatalyst design for more efficient tetracycline removal and CO2 photoreduction to methane.
