Abstract

Herein, we report the synthesis of the [Tb(acac)2(ip)(H2O)2]Cl·H2O·MeOH complex (ip = 1H-imidazo[4,5-f][1,10]phenanthroline), where additional nitrogen sites of the ip ligand are expected to interact with metal cations in solution, providing a platform for their detection via luminescence spectroscopy.
