Abstract

Circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) is being studied over the last decades owing to potential applications in digital displays and anti-counterfeiting measures. Researchers currently struggle with simultaneously boosting the dissymetry factors and emission quantum yields of synthesized materials. In this work, it is proposed to obtain heteroleptic Eu(III) complexes tuning chiral and antennae ligands in coordination polymers in order to better understand how sensitization, structure and ligand chirality influence on CPL emission. For this, two coordination polymer enantiomer pairs with different structures were synthesized, including the use of a novel chiral bridge ligand, which allows for the use of powerful antennae ligands and presented high values for the dissymetry factors.
