Abstract

The investigation of the secondary metabolism of an endophytic Streptomyces sp. strain, isolated from a specimen of Anthurium urvilleanum collected at Palmas Island (SP, Brazil), led to the isolation of a macrocyclic polyene polyol polyketide. The planar structure and relative configuration of the compound was determined by NMR experiments. The partial absolute configuration was proposed by whole genome sequencing and bioinformatic analysis of the putative biosynthetic gene cluster.
