Snakebites are a global public health concern. In vitro results showed the inhibition of casein degradation, plasma coagulation for up to 500 seconds, and red blood cell hemolysis for up to 20 hours. The Molecular Network analysis enabled the annotation of 19 compounds, which were reported for the first time in the species M. gracilis. Notably, among these compounds, rutin, gallocatechin, and gallic acid are known for their antivenom activity.
