Abstract

This study aims to use the QuEChER's methodology as a tool for the extraction of secondary metabolites. The application of this methodology, using 2-methylpropan-1-ol and acetonitrile, has demonstrated to be more effective in the extraction of caffeine and quercetin, from hydroalcoholic extracts of Coffea arabica and Punicam granatum L., in comparison to liquid-liquid extraction.
