Abstract

The seeds of Ipomoea tricolor (Morning Glory) contain a variety of bioactive compounds with psychoactive and phytogrowth inhibition properties. Previous studies have shown the seeds to be rich sources of glycosides and D-lysergic acid amide derivatives. The present study reports on the isolation and chemical characterization of Ipomoea tricolor seeds.
