This work aimed to investigate the antiviral potential of Ampelozizyphus amazonicus, focusing on the inhibition of Spike protein and ACE2 receptor interaction, as well as the chemical characterization of the bark aqueous extracts through LC-MS/MS data. Aqueous (SARFLORA) extract of A. amazonicus bark was tested through in vitro immunoassay (Lumit® PROMEGA) and the fraction obtained with Methanol/H₂O 70:30% after the clean-up with XAD16® showed a 71% inhibition of the RDB:ACE2 interaction.
