Abstract

The increasing interest in Bacillus anthracis is driven by its ability to cause anthrax disease and its use in bioterrorism.
Bacillus anthracis is classified in the A category by the CDC.
Identification of this bacteria is a challenge.
HPTLC turned out to be an efficient and affordable tool to visualize the influences of cultivation parameters on the metabolite profiles.
The HPTLC metabolite profiles represented the cultivation conditions of specific bacteria.
