Abstract

The bark extract of Aspidosperma nitidum showed the presence of indole alkaloids known as cordifoline, deoxycordifoline, yohimbine, corimanthol and aspidospermine and mitragynine, through dereplication study, using UPLC-MS. Showing, for the first time, the anti-inflammatory and healing property of the extract, justifying its use in traditional medicine. In addition, they include in vitro cytotoxicity and in vivo acute toxicity tests, which indicate the safety of using the extract.
