Abstract

Our research group envisaged a strategy for the isolation of water-soluble compounds, applied to investigate the culture media of the fungi Penicillium solitum IS1-A1 and Byssochlamys spectabilis. After growth, the H2O fraction was adsorbed onto a mixture of XAD-2, XAD-4 and XAD-7 macroporous polymeric resins. The resins were desorbed and the organic material subjected to several chromatography separations, leading to the isolation of two tetrapeptides and three additional peptide derivatives. T
