Abstract

The iboga-type alkaloids are promising against Alzheimer’s disease. Previous studies showed the potential inhibition activity of Tabernaemontana catharinensis natural and unnatural alkaloids against AChE and BChE enzymes1. The main objective was to generate new iboga-type alkaloids in order to expand the possibility of new therapeutic options. T. litoralis adventitious roots produced fluoro-coronaridine by precursor-directed biosynthesis approach.
