Abstract

A search for solvent systems used in countercurrent chromatography (CCC) for the isolation and purification of diterpenoids was aimed. Solvent systems as well as elution mode and apparatus, were compared according to compound separation efficiency. From terpenoid chosen papers, 41 had diterpenoids as target metabolites, in which HEMWat was the most applied system. Regarding the other criteria, isocratic reverse phase elution was majorly used while only hydrodynamic CCC appeared at the separation
