Abstract

This project is a systematic study of the metabolic profiles from the interaction between symbiotic Pseudonocardia (36 strains) and parasite Escovopsis (2 strains), isolated from Amazonian Trachymyrmex colonies. Analysis (LC-MS/MS and Molecular Networking) revealed the elicitation of the bacterial metabolism in the co-cultures. Furthermore these Pseudonocardia are a promising array of new compounds, according to the differential chemical profiles of some strains and bioassays against S. aureus.
