Abstract

As part of our continuous study concerning the antitrypanosomal metabolites from Brazilian plants, the present work reports the bioactivity-guided fractionation of MeOH extract from fruits peels of Porcelia macrocarpa. This approach afforded a mixture composed by acetylene and enediyne acetogenins, with EC50 of 21.5 µg/mL against trypomastigotes and EC50 of 11.7 µg/mL against amastigotes (SI = 17.1).
