Dereplication is an important tool for rapid identification of biologically active compounds without the substance isolation. This technique has been used as a strategy in the area of natural products, where more than 246,000 substances have been described in the literature.1 Complex mixtures of molecules such as plant extracts require detailed studies that require techniques with high resolution, precision and precision. One approach applied in dereplication research is the use of hyphenated techniques such as detector-coupled liquid chromatography such as diode arrays (LC-DAD), mass spectroscopy (LC-MS) and or nuclear magnetic resonance (LC-NMR). 3 In this context, the investigation of Combretum lanceolatum chemical profile was performed using dereplication through LC-MS-TOF analysis of the plant extract (Figure 1). The compounds are being identified using GNPS platform and compared with the literature of the mass/charge ratios (m/z) and [MS and MS/MS] selected in the spectra considering a 5 ppm error. Through the analysis of precursor ions and fragments, we have found shikimic acid derivatives, terpenes, glycosylated flavonoids, saponins and ellagic acid derivatives.
